About Us
Learn more about our parish community
This historic rural parish represents the deep roots of Ukrainian settlement in the Shuswap region of British Columbia. It serves a largely agricultural and retirement community, providing a quiet and traditional space for worship and reflection. The parish is a cherished historical site that continues to witness the faith through the changing seasons of the interior landscape.
Rev. Andriy Werbowy
Father Andriy Werbowy serves as the Parochial Administrator for several communities in the Okanagan region, including St. Josaphat in Vernon, Sts. Peter and Paul in Grindrod, and the Holy Resurrection mission in Penticton. In addition, he serves our military as a Chaplain. He is responsible for maintaining the liturgical life and providing sacramental care for a geographically diverse flock, often traveling between these interior parishes to serve the faithful. His ministry is centered on fostering a close-knit community atmosphere and ensuring the continued presence of Ukrainian Catholic traditions within the North Okanagan and Shuswap areas.
